Description: SET of FIVE - Japanese Porcelain Confectionery Dishes - Uchiwa Fan Shaped We are pleased to offer for your consideration this standard Set of Five mid century modern Japanese porcelain confectionery dishes made in Japan. The matching set is of uchiwa fans (also known as ‘fixed fans’) in lovely blue tinted porcelain bodies with the raised ribs of the fan showing. The cherry blossom decorations are hand painted enamel with underglaze blue for the leaves and branches. Perfect for appetizers, sweetmeats, bonbons or any small treats! We acquired this set at a local Collector's Fair in the 1970's and rarely used them. The dishes are unmarked. They are all in perfect condition and free of any issues. Measurements: Each dish measures approximately 5" tall and 5” at the widest portion of the fan near the top and tapering to 4” wide at the lower portion of the fan. Each dish stands 1/2" off the table at the rim. They each weigh approximately 6-7 ounces and weigh 2 lbs., 3 ounces total as a set. All measurements are approximate, but close. Condition: We carefully examined each piece. NO Chips, Cracks, Nicks, Scratches, Stains, Repairs or Restorations were noted.
