The fine bone china plates, which measure 8-1/4" in diameter, were first introduced by Tuscan in 1961. The pattern has since been retired. These plates feature a stark white body, platinum scroll verge, platinum trim, and scalloped edge.THE MAIN COURSEYou'll find these salad plates to be, at worst, in near-mint condition with only extremely minimal, nearly nonexistent, and infinitesimal surface wear. (If I see even a single utensil mark or the most insignificant scratch, I won't list an item as mint.) Some of the plates are in mint, like new condition with absolutely no surface wear at all. Whether mint or near mint, the platinum decor is in beautiful condition, the colors are vivid with no fading or discoloration, and the glaze shines like new. Additionally, all of the plates are completely free of cracks, chips, nicks, crazing, stains, repairs, permanent hard water deposits, and detergent residue. These salad plates are in far better condition than what is typically considered to be "excellent" or "gently used".
