Description: This listing is for a Set of 5 Vintage Steuben Crystal Art Glass # SP 649 Cocktail Glasses. They were designed by George Thompson c. 1942. All are signed with an inscribed "s" on bottoms (photos 6 and 7). They can be seen in a line drawing on page 346 of "Steuben Glass An American Tradition in Crystal" by Madigan (photos 8 and 9). I believe they are quite scarce and can't find many other examples. They have flared bowls, thick heavy feet, and factory ground and polished flat bases. Each holds about 3 ounces when filled to very top, so about 1 to 2 oz comfortably. They are in excellent condition overall with no chips, cracks, or repairs. All rims and edges are perfect. Some usual minor scratches to bases. No other issues. Very clean and clear in and out! Please view photos carefully as they are my main description. *(White spots in pictures are glare / lighting from photos and not actually on the item). They are pretty heavy and fragile weighing 2.1 lbs together before packing and will be securely packaged and double boxed. They are hand blown and slightly differ measuring 2 3/4" to 2 7/8" tall, 3 1/8" across top rims, and 1 7/8" at the bases or feet.
