The lenses use an oval insert and a reflective strip that is placed inside the lens during manufacture. The oval element works and the bokeh looks like it was actually shot with an anamorphic lens. A reflective element in the center of the lens amplifies flare and directs light across the image, creating the legendary horizontal flare. This modification preserve natural color of footage, so you can shoot low light and daylight scenes without any color correction issues. These are not anamorphic lenses.
