How to Use manual focus (MF) lenses M42 with the use of the adapter with Pentax K: To Mount: Put red marks of the adapter and lens collar together. Turn the adapter clockwise till the fixative click. Mostly it will use Manual or Av mode. Simply attach the ring to your lens and then the lens to the camera. When you have finished remove both together. Its as easy as that! To Remove: Remove both lens / adapter together from the camera, press the lens lock and then remove the adapter from the lens simultaneously. Notice: Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, or any other functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. In this case"stop-down mode"will need to be used when metering since the lens does not have the ability to have its aperture controlled by the camera body.
