Description: Selections from Tattler, Spectator, etc, Ed. Graham, 1928, Ronald Press - Note: Tattler and Spectator were very early British publications, prominent in the late 1600's through 1700's. Thus, these reprinted articles are very old. The editor seeks to give the reader an understanding of the problems, controversies, and points of view of elite society e.g. during Queen Anne's reign, in the early 1700's. The writing is a bit stilted and wordy, but references to "current events" make for a very interesting read. - book is 4.5 x 6.5 inches approx.; 422 pages.- extra-heavy, indestructible 20-mil acetate wrap. Condition:Very Good Condition for this vintage novel. Cover shows some surface fading/dulling of color, plus a bit of tanning to spine, but nothing major. Owner bookplate inside. Hinges/binding are tight/strong. Only very slight age-tanning of paper inside, if any, and paper is strong/supple. Interior shows almost no wear. No DJ, but cover looks nice under extra-heavy, indestructible acetate wrap. Collectible.
