Description: Sega Dreamcast Capacitor Replacement/Cleaning & Additional Install Services How does this work? This is a full capacitor replacement and system cleaning installation service for the Dreamcast with a optional Power LED replacement along with it. Simply select the product(s) that you want us to install and then we will provide you with our shipping info for you to send your Dreamcast to us at Retro Gaming Systems LLC for the installation. Once we receive your system we will fully clean it inside and out. We will replace all of the capacitors (we provide) on the mother board and power supply. Once we finish, we will fully test the system to ensure there are no issues before shipping it back to you with USPS Priority Mail 1-3 day delivery. The shipping fee you pay when you purchase the install service covers the fully-insured return shipping to you. Turn around time is typically 2 weeks or less from the time we receive your system, but may be longer if parts for your system need to be ordered or in high-demand seasons. Systems are processed in the order in which they are received. We will be in contact with you the whole time and provide regular updates on the status of your install and pictures. Additional Services: Full System Capacitor Replacement Service We offer a full capacitor replacement service for the whole system and power supply. Electrolytic capacitors lose their ability to hold power as time goes on and can start to leak. This will damage or destroy the system. We go in and remove all the original capacitors, clean the pads and the board, and install brand new ones to ensure your system will last another 20 to 30 years! We HIGHLY recommend adding this service due to the age of these consoles to prevent any problems down the road. Noctua Silent Fan Mod The original Dreamcast fan produced decent airflow but was very loud. Noctua makes some of the best fans on earth that produce virtually no noise! This mod replaces the original Dreamcast fan with a brand new Noctua silent fan that provides better airflow and no noise. If you select this option, we will provide all of the parts for this mod! Controller Port Fix/Replaceable Battery Mod One of the major things that goes wrong over time with Dreamcasts are issues with the controller ports not working. This is due in part to a fuse that once blown has to be de-soldered and replaced. With this mod we replace all of the components on the controller board as well as replace the original fuse with a "self-healing" fuse that will never fail. We also replace the original non-removable Dreamcast battery with a fully removable one that allows you to quickly replace it when it dies. If you select this option, we will provide all of the parts for this mod! Pico Power Supply Upgrade Mod With this mod we completely remove the original Dreamcast power supply and replace it with a much more efficient modern one. This new power supply produces almost no heat inside the system which will help ensure the components will last much longer, it also supports GDEMU & MODE so you don't have to modify the system to handle the extra load if you install an optical drive emulator. If you select this option, we will provide all of the parts for this mod! Power Light LED Replacement We offer a power light LED replacement option where you can replace the original green power LED with a color of your choice or a brand new Red one!
