This Red Oak is from the rich soil of Mississippi Delta. This wood has the Ideal moisture level for optimum smoke. This 11 x 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Medium Priority Mail Box has about 20 to 25 pieces in the box and is about 9 to 10 lbs. NOTE: All this wood is custom cut and split and the ends and the bark have been cut off 1/4 inch so there is no chain saw oil. Bark on the wood is no good to cook with anyway with all the stuff in the air and grows on it.At 2017 Memphis in May World Championship BBQ Contest 8 teams used this wood and came up with a 3rd - 4th - 5th and 13th in whole hog and 11th in shoulder and a 11th in ribs.
