SCIENCE FICTION Eye 1988 V1#3 KATHE KOJA Samuel R Delany Cyberpunk Lupoff nice!!

Description: I have a very large collection of books spanning many topics. A massive gathering of Philip K Dick titles and editions, as well as fine press, signed limited editions, modern firsts, radical movement and conceptual art items. I encourage you to browse my store and categories for a wide range of unique, quality offerings. Condition: This issue is UNREAD. NO chips, NO creasing, NO markings. Staples firm. Only tangible flaw of note is a tiny approx 1in tear to the left edge of the rear cover (SEE IMAGE). Super short, very clean. Was publisher overstock stored with other issues for over 20 years. I call this VERY GOOD simply due to the short tear. If not for the tear, this presents as unread and NOT handled. The overall white is a little less bright than as if fresh off the press. This has been stored for 20+ years. This still looks very nice, simply not pristine/mint. Now, preserved in an acid-free archival bag. A uniquely scarce fanzine. About: Volume 1, No. 3, March 1988. Special fiction issue and an interview with Samuel R. Delany. Overall content: Many of the stories in this issue were commissioned originally FOR this issue, so many first (and only?) appearances for some of these. SEE IMAGE of the tOc for stories and authors. Many photos, images and large full page illustrations. All black & white. The letters/essay section has visits from Lewis Shiner, Gregory Benford, Paul Di Filippo and others. The story by Kathe Koja was only her second published story, with the first being 1987. She has gone one to win multiple awards, branch into other practices, and still actively put out novels many many stories. Contributors: Samuel R. DelanyRichard A. LupoffJohn ShirleyIan WatsonCharles SheffieldKathe KojaPaul Di FilippoBruce SterlingDan SteffanStephen P. Brownmany others Science Fiction Eye was a hardcore Cyberpunk, sci-fi, technology fanzine that ran for 15 issues, beginning in 1987. It was a high quality production in the saddle stapled paper magazine size. Contributors included William Gibson, Gregory Benford, Bruce Sterling, John Shirley, Dan Steffan, Rudy Rucker, Paul di Filippo and many others. These are full of photos, illustrations and all kinds of great lore. Issue 3 is a MASSIVE folio size issue, coming in at a whopping approx 14" tall x 11" wide. Most issues are quite elusive. I will happily answer any further questions. Making offers: I certainly can appreciate wanting a better deal, and I've made offers myself on my own purchases. To be up front, if and when you make an offer, I will automatically reject crazy low "give it away" offers. Best not to waste our time. With a more reasonable offer, I will review current pricing for other comparable items out there and either accept, counter or decline submitted offer. If in that review, I find my pricing is already LOW and outdated, I may then increase the price to bring more in line with other offerings. I spend a lot of time sourcing the best offerings, preparing the listings with images and clear descriptions, and price fairly in MOST cases. I remain grateful to all who consider my offerings, and I look forward to serving your needs respectfully and with success.
