Stitching two rows simultaneously, they create decorative effects for heiloom sewing, pintucks, fancy hems and other decoative stitches. The two numbers in the size of the needle indicate to space between the tips and the size of the needles repectively. For instance a 3.0 mm/80 needle is two size 80 needles spaced 3.0 mm apart. Universal Twin are used with regular threads. Caution: Remember that when sewing with a stitch other than a straight stitch you must be very careful not to make the width of your stitch so wide that you hit the needle plate on either side. The triple needle is too wide for many machines. If your machine can not do a 9mm zig zag this needle won't work. Check by hand that the needles won't hit the needle plate and break.
