The coin was minted during the reign of Sultan Barghash Ibn Sa'id. Barghash Ibn Sa'id ruled this island nation off the east coast of Africa in the period 1870-1888. This is a one pysa coin. The coin has the full name of Sultan Sa'id on the obverse and depicts scales with the AH date on the reverse all in Arabic lettering. This is KM# 1, measures about 25 mm in diameter and weighs about 6 grams. Please carefully review the photos provided as they are part and parcel of our description.
