Description: Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Sansui G-8000 or G-801 receiver. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild a Sansui G-8000/G-801, and includes the correct size replacement main filter capacitors. This does not include new lights or fuses. This also does not include the driver or output transistors. Correct replacement outputs are MJ21195G/MJ21196G, available here. Please don't buy any of the Chinese transistors on eBay--those are counterfeit and may blow up. This kit includes replacements for all the electrolytic capacitors in the receiver, including the eight large chassis-mount capacitors, which are replaced with eight Nichicon LS 6800 uf 80v caps. The new caps are the same diameter as the old ones so they will fit the old clamps perfectly. The kit also includes replacements for almost all the transistors on all the boards except the tuner board. Transistors frequently age worse than the capacitors, so you have to replace them when you're doing a rebuild. Three new relays for the power supply board and a huge number of new diodes are also included. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild vintage equipment. Capacitors are Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, Nichicon Muse, Nichicon VR, Panasonic FC, Wima film, Epcos, and Nichicon LS for the main filters. Transistors and diodes are Fairchild/Onsemi. The Sansui G-8000 has a LOT more parts in it than a typical vintage stereo receiver. This kit includes a total of 265 parts, which is more than almost any other kit I sell. This will be a long, slow rebuild. The parts for each board are individually bagged for ease of installation, and the instructions will tell you how the transistors and diodes go in, but there are a LOT of parts to replace here, so if you do not have a lot of experience with vintage gear I would not recommend starting with this one. You should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron, a desoldering gun such as a Hakko FR-301, heat-sink compound, and a dim-bulb tester with 100W incandescent bulb. I have rebuilt several similar large receivers in the past. It's not that hard, just very tedious. Please see my pictures for details. US shipping and handling is $15, and international is $60. If you have any questions, please ask. Looking for more parts? I have power switches, feet, pushbuttons, top case screws, bottom screws, faceplate screws, white LED fuse lamps, blue LED fuse lamps, 6.3v bi-pin bulbs, 8v bi-pin bulbs, 12v bi-pin bulbs, wired 8v 60ma bulbs, new power cords, new main capacitors for the Marantz 1060/2230, wired Pioneer speaker plug replacements, new 630v yellow film capacitors at 38 different values, new 1200v yellow film capacitors at 15 values, a large variety of transistors for vintage stereo repair, new Wima film capacitors for stereo repair, new 250v yellow film crossover capacitors, and more. Just use "add to cart" on everything you want and then check out for combined shipping.
