Description: Sansui speaker terminal upgrade kit SSTK1A This kit allows you to convert your Sansui to use modern binding posts. Includes one adapter panel, binding posts, hardware, and detailed instructions. Note that this only works with AU-417s that have push button spring tab type terminals (see last photo). AU-417s with round screw terminals cannot be upgraded with this kit. Below is a list of compatible models. The number in parentheses indicates the number of speaker outputs the model has. However you can also use appropriate ring terminals to fasten wire leads to the terminals, which can make the installation process simpler. Instructions are specific to the AU-717, but the process is similar for other models. You will need soldering skills to install this conversion kit. If you are not confident working with electronics please consider having an electronics tech perform the conversion. This modification allows you to use banana plugs, spades, bare wire, or whatever compatible connection you choose. The conversion is non-destructive, requires no extra hardware, and no modification of the rear panel. The adapter plates are two-piece, keyed to the existing panel opening, and are very secure when installed. Soldering equipment, tools, and basic skills are required.
