In terms of connectivity, this array is equipped with two 40 Gb/s Thunderbolt 3 ports, one 10 Gb/s USB Type-C port, and one HDMI port. While host connectivity is achieved using one of the Thunderbolt 3 ports, or the USB Type-C port, the second Thunderbolt 3 port remains available for daisy-chaining up to five additional devices, including drives, 4K displays, and more, all through a single cable connection.SanDisk Professional built the G-RAID 2 with a hardware RAID controller that supports RAID 0, which provides enhanced performance, and RAID 1, which supports 1:1 drive mirroring, although this halves the total capacity. For those who do not need a RAID, JBOD is also available. The system comes preconfigured as RAID 0 and formatted for macOS 10.12 and later, although the system may be reformatted for Windows 10.
