Description: Lovely small salt-glazed stoneware crock with hand-painted scroll in cobalt blue. No makers marks. Unknown origin for this piece but is a classic Westerwald (Germany) style pottery piece. The pottery surface has a light hint of blue that slightly pools around the salted dimple marks made from the salt being thrown into the kiln during the firing process. Approximately 5 inches wide and 3.25 inches tall. No markings. See pictures for details.
