The top and sides are solid pine for a very solid dresser that will last for many years.There are 6 larger drawers that will hold heavy loads without the bottoms falling out and the three smaller drawers are perfect for all the smaller items that tend to collect on any dresser. The dresser comes fully assembled and the hutch is assembled - just need to set the hutch on top of the dresser. We choose to work with lodgepole pine as it grows naturally in the forests of NW montana and is known for its superior strength to weight ratio. It is also straighter, thus making it easier to work the raw wood into the highest quality furniture possible. Our lodge pole pine is harvested in the Kootenai National Forest via a very selective process. Skilled woodsmen select each tree with an attentive eye toward the quality, straightness and size of each specimen. After felling, each piece is hand carried to the road to ensure both the tree and the environment remain unharmed.
