From the copyrighted "Bunnykins" of 1936, this wonderful porcelain piggy bank from the 1980's is shaped and designed to look like a chubby book, hence Royal Doulton's formal name Savings Book. Creative and cute with the Bunnykins depictions painted on the front and back "cover" and rabbits along the top and bottom border. Ripples for pages on the top of the "book" and the binding of the cover is the title "Bunnykins" with a slot above for the coins. Underneath is the plastic removable disc, with the Royal Doulton "Bunnykins" logo copyright 1936. A wonderful collectable treasure for the new baby or toddler gift. Great vintage condition. Held by one owner. Displayed for a short period on a shelf but never used for coins. Gently stored for many many years. No known signs of chips or cracks. The bottom shows almost no sign of display, but a little on the edge of the natural bisque. Please see all photos.
