Description: Nice set of 4 Royal Doulton Wide Rimmed Soup Bowls in Classic White embellished with gold gilding around the rim. Still very good and usable condition. But some of these simple elegant bowls were put in the microwave (a big NO NO) the result of which are a few imperfections in the metallic gold on the rim (see close-ups). Also this delicate gold may have a bit of scratches but minimal and the bowls otherwise have NO chips, cracks, fleabites, stains, or crazing. Each about 8 1/4" diameter, x 1 1/2" deep. Consumers may not realize that any metallic embellishment on glassware or china should be hand washed with non-citrus based dish soap and NEVER placed in either microwave or the dishwasher.
