Description: This is a rare January 31st, 1944 playbill from the three-night, Post-Broadway engagement of the SIGMUND ROMBERG and DOROTHY DONNELLY musical play "BLOSSOM TIME" at the Hartman Theatre in Columbus, Ohio. (The revival opened September 4th, 1943 at New York's Ambassador Theatre and ran for 47 performances before going on the road.) ..... Using the melodies of FRANZ SCHUBERT, the musical starred ROY BARNES as "Franz Schubert", BARBARA SCULLY as "Mitzi Kranz", ROY CROPPER as "Baron Schober" and DOUG LEAVITT as "Christian Kranz" and included PAUL RAVELL, MICHAEL LANDAU, MARION BRADLEY, GEORGE BEACH, HELENE ARTHUR, VICTOR MORLEY, GRETA BORJESON, GRACE WORTH, JAY DAVIS, DICK BRIGGS, ELLIOTT ROBERTSON, ANGELA ANATOLE, RUTH LOCKWOOD, LANA BARRY and PAMELA DOW ..... CONDITION: With the exception of light edge wear, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian.
