Description: TraveLodge Motel in Victorville on US Highway 66 Here is a flat (staple and matches removed) unstruck front strike matchcover from the TraveLodge motel (AAA approved and Duncan Hines recommended the matchcover says on the inside) on Seventh Street (Hwy. 66 of course) in Victorville, California. This matchcover is the green type with the original Sleepy Bear. The saddle says “Look for the Sleepy Bear” so this matchcover would probably be an early-1960s matchcover. This old TraveLodge is now operating as the Travel Inn. There is no glue, tape or handwriting on the inside of this matchcover. This matchcover is in excellent unstruck condition. I have 250 US Highway 66 matchcover auctions on eBay all with opening auction bids of just $1.00. And all of the auctions have a “Buy It Now” provision for $1.45. Such a deal!
