Description: Roseville Pottery Luffa Vase, Shape 691-12, Brown Drip Glaze Large vase with handles near the flared rim in a beautiful drippy glaze. The design features the small flowers and large leaves of the tropical luffa vine, a member of the cucumber/gourd family, whose fully ripened fruit is used to make loofa scrubbing sponges. The background has curved ridges/terraces. Brown background glaze with green highlights, green leaves and yellow flowers with brown centers. The interior is finished in a green glaze. Middle Period, introduced 1934.Condition: No chips, cracks or repairs. Crazing. Marks: Unmarked except for some misc. handwritten marks.
