And then, for each of the verses, there are short passages or quotes from the early church fathers such as Tertullian, Augustine, Hillary of Arles, and even the Venerable Bede for all you Anglicans out there. The book is in like new condition. The dust jacket show some mild aging as well as a sticker with my name on it on the front. Sorry about that folks. On the plus side, there is no writing or highlighting inside the volume. I am a retired priest/professor and I am looking for a good home for any of the books that I’ve collected over the years. I found this series of books to be interesting, having been a student of the church fathers through the last four decades.
