Description: This uncirculated 100 Romanian leu note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the National Bank of Romania. It is a blue, green, and violet polymer note that is dated 01 July 2005/(20)15, bear the signatures of Ionel Nitu and Dr. Mugur Constantin Isarescu, and measures 147 mm x 82 mm. Its obverse side features the national coat of arms, the BNR monogram, a theatre mask, a violet flower (Viola sororia), a comedy mask, and a portrait of actor Ion Luca Caragiale. Its reverse side shows the BNR monogram, the statue of Ion Luca Caragiale by Constantin Baraschi, a comedy mask, and the original Tetrui cel Mare din Bucuresti (Grand Theater of Bucharest). Though the note is made of polymer, it has security features including a flower registration device, a simulated solid security thread, and a shadow image of Ion Luca Caragiale and the BNR monogram.
