Description: Rolling Stone magazine 1972-1980 lot of 211 issues FREE SHIPPING NORTH AMERICA 211 issues of Rolling Stone magazine from 1972 to 1980 in top condition. Many consider the 1970s to be the golden period for Rolling Stone magazine: fledgling contributors like Cameron Crowe, Hunter S. Thompson & Annie Leibovitz were given the freedom to explore the rapidly evolving culture of the U.S. through ground-breaking reports on music, politics & society. The magazines in this lot provide a vivid commentary on the tastes and values of the day, through articles, interviews & reviews (records, gigs, film, books), and many photos and adverts.This vintage lot includes a continuous run of 172 issues from #109 (1972) to #280 (1978), then all but 11 issues up to & including #330 (in 1980).The issues in this lot (in tabloid newspaper format) have been read once before being stored flat. As a result, most are in excellent condition. Sample inspection of different issues suggests that nothing has been clipped or removed. All issues were rated conservatively for completeness and general appearance; 172 of the 211 issues were rated in either excellent or very good condition (over 80%). Please review the photos of sample issues and stacks of magazines.The lot includes these issues: 1972: 109-124 1973: 125-150 1974: 151-176 1975: 177-202 1976: 203-229 1977: 230-255 (includes #254 - magazine-size 10th anniversary issue) 1978: 256-280 (missing 281) 1979: 282-293 (missing 294); 295-300 (missing 301); 302-304 (missing 305); 306 (missing 307) 1980: (missing 308); 309 (missing 310-311); 312-314 (missing 315); 316-321 (missing 322); 323 (missing 324); 325-330. Please note: The first 179 issues in the lot (109 - 288) were stored in a 2-ring binder. Each of these issues was punched with 2 holes, with hole reinforcements added to the front & back covers. The remaining 32 issues (289-330) were not hole-punched. The first 110 issues (109-218) have mailing labels; the last 101 issues (219-330) were bought at the newsstand. ShippingFREE within North America. The magazines will be sent flat via Canada Post or FedEx/UPS in 5 boxes, and will be tracked & insured. Alternatively, collection by buyer or delivery by seller in South-Western Ontario can be arranged.
