Description: Rollin' Flatt, Lester Description: Sealed 1976 Original. No Cuts. "Rollin'" is a bluegrass album by Lester Flatt, released in 1977. Lester Flatt was an American bluegrass guitarist and mandolinist, best known for his collaboration with Earl Scruggs in The Foggy Mountain Boys. The album features Flatt's signature style of traditional bluegrass music, with a mix of original songs and classic covers. Flatt began his career in the 1940s as a member of Bill Monroe's Blue Grass Boys. In 1948, he formed The Foggy Mountain Boys with Scruggs, and they became one of the most popular bluegrass bands of the 1950s and 1960s. After Scruggs left the band in 1969, Flatt continued to perform and record as a solo artist until his death in 1979. "Rollin'" was one of Flatt's final albums, recorded just a few years before his death. It features Flatt's strong vocals and skilled guitar playing, along with contributions from other bluegrass legends like Josh Graves and Bobby Hicks. The album includes classic bluegrass tunes like "Roll On Buddy," "Salty Dog Blues," and "I'm Going Back to Old Kentucky."
