Facts of Geese: they keep their feathers clean and dry by pulling each feather through the ridges on their mandibles to remove dirt and water. The vast majority of those feathers are short, stubby down that helps insulate the bird from cold water and freezing temperature. This is in beautiful condition. No chips or cracks.
