Although the latter are more recognizable and enjoy great popularity, Rode's compositions not only posing great challenges to the instrumentalist, but also bewilder with the beauty of their cantilena and their energy.Rode revealed in his caprices not only his compositional skills, but also his thorough understanding of pedagogy, as befits an experienced music teacher and author of a textbook on learning how to play the violin.It is Roksana Kwasnikowska who records the Caprices here.
