Description: This is one of several pieces of Rice-Weiner Thief of Bagdad we have listed.. This is a brass necklace filled with multi color rhinestones and accented enameling and pearls. In very good condition Measures 15 1/2" in total length. Marked on back (see photos) Alexander Korda did NOT design any of the jewelry. Alexander Korda was a motion picture director and producer, not a jewelry manufacturer or designer. However, jewelry was made in association with several of his movies. His name appeared in the mark on those pieces. Rice-Weiner, a jewelry business with offices in New York and a factory in Providence, Rhode Island, made jewelry lines under license to United Artists based on Korda’s films. These include “Thief of Bagdad” in 1940 and “The Jungle Book” in 1942. Pieces for “Thief of Bagdad” are marked with the film’s name and Korda's name. Alexander Korda.
