The ideal temperature range for germination is between 70-80°F (21-27°C). Keep the potting mix evenly moist but not waterlogged, by misting it with water as needed. The seeds should germinate in 2-4 months. Once the seedlings emerge, gradually expose them to more light and decrease the humidity by opening the greenhouse or removing the cover from the seed tray. Transplant the seedlings to individual pots once they have developed several leaves, and continue to care for them as mature Rhapis excelsa plants.
