Description: Beautiful Antique Hanging Light Excellent restored antique condition! Freshly rewired, new porcelain socket, and working well. The pressed glass shade has raised leaves, scalloped edges and a custard color with a matte finish. The solid brass fixture pole & canopy have been polished to bring out the original shine and lacquered to protect the beautiful finish. The brass has no cracks, gouges or dents. The glass has no cracks - just a few tiny, faint marks here or there that aren't noticeable. Use 1 standard-base light bulb up to 100 watts, or use an LED bulb for any brightness you like, as they use low wattage for bright light. You can use a warmer colored bulb to create more of an ivory golden glow, or a daylight cool toned bulb for a more white glow. Light bulb & ceiling mount screws not included. Here are details about the restorer: The late Bob Daly was a marathon runner and worked in his family's burgler alarm business until he started his own antique lighting restoration business in Fenton, Michigan in the 1980's: "Historic Lighting Restoration Services and Sales". He was restoring antique lighting for almost 40 years. This beautiful light was thoughtfully and skillfully restored by Bob to the tiniest detail. From new wiring to cleaning to touching up, buffing and polishing, Bob was a master at the details. He loved what he did and was excited to share these restored works of art with the next generation (see a newspaper article picture of him in photo #23). He worked with loving care, and you can be proud to own one of his restorative works of art.
