Description: Reptilicus Rare Resin Model - Monster Fun Alchemy Works B-Movie Danish miners dig up the frozen tail of a gigantic lizard that soon regenerates itself into an armor-plated dragon who spits vile green acid while ravaging Copenhagen. That’s what happened in the 1962 film, “Reptilicus.” Here is that scaly movie monster, an early, somewhat hollow resin garage kit originally produced by Monster Fun! of Canada back in 1992. Some 12 years later, the model was reissued by Alchemy Works of Texas in solid resin form – this is that reissued kit, cast by Alchemy Works 20 years ago, complete, unbuilt, and ready to render your way. Alchemy’s solid white resin castings are virtually flawless, with even the critter’s thin, delicate wings completely intact. Alchemy also supply six wooden toothpicks (double the amount needed) to create the beast’s six teeth. When assembled, it’s one cool kit (as can be seen in the painted model photos posted here), measuring approx. 6 1/2" tall x 8” wide x 6 1/2” deep. Unlike many other Monster Fun! models, Reptilicus seems to have been long retired, as the kit hasn’t been offered by Alchemy Works in many, many years.
