Description: Reproduction or Antique 1830s-40s Lacy Flint Glass Peacock Eye LARGE 10.5" Bowl I am not sure, but this may be a vintage 1930s-50s high glass quality reproduction of the well known Lacy flint glass pattern of the 1830s-40s called Peacock Eye. The bowl has a nice ring like flint glass when tapped, has lead content, but does not quite have as loud and drawn out a ring as I would expect if it were original 1830s-40s. That being said, there is no museum embossed mark on it to indicate is a reproduction item, for example- MMA (Metropolitan Museum of Art), so it could be an 1830s-40s original; the bowl has a faint silvery yellow vaseline glass like glow in black-light just like I see on circa 1830s-60s full flint glass items, see last 3 pics. No chips, cracks or scratches, crystal clear, measures 2.5" tall, 10.5" top rim diameter. Please ask any questions.
