Description: Back in the late 80's I bought a bunch of Big Muffs to try out. They were reasonably priced and plentiful. I was amazed at how different they all sounded. One of them sounded completely different than all the rest. If you played a Strat, it sounded like a Strat. If you played a humbucker, it sounded like a humbucker. It still had the huge, fat sustain of the others but it was much more dynamic. The other ones just sounded like the pedal. Changing guitars or pickups didn't really alter the tone much. That one was an early Triangle BM. Unfortunately it was missing the back plate, the knobs and the on/off switch was broken. I used it like that for a few years with some tape holding everything together but finally asked a pedal builder friend of mine if he could rehouse it. So that's what we have here. An early Triangle BM rehoused in a solid case. It's got new jacks and a new switch. The on/off switch is now wired as a tone bypass since the input jack acts as a battery shunt when it's unplugged. The knobs are replaced as well. One of the back plate screws is broken off. I had my tech go through it the other day and he replaced a cap on the board. I'll include it with the pedal. I think everything else on the board is stock and original including the transistors and two of the pots. It still sounds amazing. Big and fat without that muddy tone that some muffs can have. Plus, it's now a vintage pedal you can take to the gig without worrying about it. Check out the pictures for details and message me with any questions. Thanks for looking!
