The piece was molded by anger after the fresh wounds of a breakup, but as time went on that wound started to heal and the anger dissipated while working on it. The piece took on a new light into redemption of one’s self rather than the anger and regret of being in a bad relationship. The artist worked on this piece for a year during which she experienced a new love, and with that turning point in her life the piece was completed with the word “renew” being placed over mistake. Stephanie George was born in Houston, Texas in 1998 to Tanya George, a clothes designer and native Texan, and Graham George an entrepreneur from London England. At an early age, Stephanie showed a distinct interest in the arts–designing cosplay costumes, visiting galleries and museums during global travels and creating whenever she could — all encouraged by her parents. She attended Texas State University studying Art and Marine Biology unfortunately her studies were interrupted due to her Mother’s terminal illness in 2019. During this tragic period Stephanie buried herself in her art whenever she could and together with her father, Graham George, they opened The Studio Experience in the winter of 2019. Stephanie has resumed her university studies, continues to create her art and develop her unique unmistakable style.
