REEL MAGIC issue #22 featuring MICHAEL AMMAR interview -- (published by Kozmo, April 2011)BONUS PROP INCLUDED -- a great "carry in your wallet" trick by JEFF PRACE, "Time Stands Still"From 2007 through about the next 10 years --(not exactly sure when the last Reel Magic #53 was published) -- Kozmo's "Reel Magic" provided an excellent and varied view of the contemporary magic scene. Each issue has a little something for everyone, and a few things that should be watched by all magicians.On this "issue" of the "DVD magazine", not only do you get a 25 minute sit-down interview with Michael Ammar, but also a teach-in with David Roth showing you finesse on Spellbound. Watching the late great David Roth perform anything with coins is always a revelation. To have him give you detailed handling tips and advice... well, I cannot recommend this enough.But then add on that you get to sit down and listen to MICHAEL AMMAR's opinions on breaking the news to his parents that he was going to be a magician, hearing the backstage stories of working TV shows like Letterman (and Merv Griffin, for you older folks reading this!). You also get archive TV footage of Ammar performing Bill in Lemon for Billy Crystal, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Johnny Carson. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! This issue of Reel Magic includes a custom made prop -- a very realistic looking gift card that allows you to carry a cool three card prediction in your wallet. The spectator cuts the deck to three random cards, and the values of the cards match the time printed on the watch graphic of the gift card! This is one of Jeff Prace's coolest carry-around tricks, and it is included with the DVD. (I think Prace sold this trick separately for $12 or $15! ) So... well, I cannot recommend this issue of Reel Magic enough, again. :-) Another highlight for me is the very easy and practical Mental Magic item from BANACEK -- that can be done impromptu or even over the phone.Check out the photo of the DVD case's back cover for details. Kozmo sells "back issues" of Reel Magic for $12. Great deal, but how about getting it here for even less!CONDITION: New. IMPORTANT NOTE -- I carefully slit the shrinkwrap on this DVD to double check that the bonus prop was indeed inside the case. But the DVD and prop are absolutely new and unused. And, of course, yes, I will combined multiple purchases into single shipments -- use the eBay cart feature to avoid overpaying on postage for multiple items. The eBay cart should do some postage reduction automatically. (Of course, if it still charges too much postage, I can refund excess after I ship) If you have the "request total from seller" option in eBay cart, it is the best way to go.
