Description: This listing is for Sterling Reed & Baton "Pointed Antique" Coffee Pot , Covered Sugar Bowl and Creamer. This is a vintage sterling silver coffee set (does not include tray which is listed separately) in the “Pointed Antique” pattern, manufactured by Reed and Barton. This wonderful set which includes coffee pot, covered sugar and creamer (gold washed interior) and was made by Reed & Barton in 1956 (the heart, dating them to 1956 appears on the bottom of each piece along with "STERLING" and the number "87" denoting pattern number). The coffee pot handle has two insulators. The coffee pot is 9.25" to top of lid tip, and 9.75" wide from handle to spout. The covered sugar bowl is 6" tall and 6.75" wide, the creamer is 5.275" tall. Coffee pot, sugar and creamer are all in excellent condition with no damage, dents or dings and minor surface wear commensurate with age. The interiors of each piece are in very good condition denoting little wear. One note: the teapot handle is very secure. the teapot lid fits well but the hinge has a slight wiggle...the hinge pin maybe not all the way through and may need to be replaced at some time, but the hinge rings themselves are very good. The pieces weigh a total of 53.24 troy ounces or 1557 grams. Please note as mentioned above...The sterling tray has been sold and is NOT included in the sale and just shown for display purposes.
