Red Velvet Coat Sz M 10 Vintage Mackintosh Burgundy Wine Dark Red Long Jacket

Description: Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 DESCRIPTION This is a gorgeous vintage coat from the 1980s made by Mackintosh of New England. The material is a soft cotton velvet that is a dark burgundy red color. The coat is fully lined in red acetate satin. The coat has padded shoulders, and the sleeves are a bit on the short side. They are more like three quarter length than full length. The coat has two pockets, and it closes with a row of buttons down the front. There is a second row of ornamental buttons to give it a double breasted look. SIZING The coat is tagged a size 10. The actual measurements are as follows: Bust: 20.5 inches across, underarm to underarm (41 inches around) Shoulders: 18 inches across (this is the measurement from the edge of one shoulder pad to the other) Sleeves: 20 inches from the edge of the shoulder pad to the end of the sleeve Waist: 24 inches across (48 inches around) Hips: 25 inches across (450 inches around) Length: 41 inches down the center of the back, starting from the base of the collar Note: These are the actual measurements of the garment, so please leave yourself room for comfort of movement. All measurements were taken with the item laying flat. The flat measurements were doubled to give an approximate measurement around. CONDITION This coat is in very good vintage condition. I did notice a couple very minor scuff marks on the cotton velvet. Also, there are a couple scattered hairline runs in the fabric of the lining (see picture for example). I also noticed some water spots near the hem of the lining (see picture). These are very minor issues. The coat is lovely and totally wearable as is!
