Red Terracotta Japanese Teapot Etched Design w Bamboo Handle & Lid Tea Insert

Description: Available, from a family estate, is a vintage red clay with a bamboo and wire handle teapot. As far as I know, I've never seen this item used in my entire life but it does have a small inner rim chip on the teapot. It's hidden tho. Made in Japan the scene depicts Mt Fuji on one side and a house on the other. There is a red clay infuser insert and res clay lid. Very clean interior. Japanese lettering on the side of the teapot is also visible although I have no idea what it says. Marked Japan. Circa 1950-1960. MCM.
