Colour and black and white illustrations throughout by Marc Simont. Red top edge to textblock. Pages with some foxing and tanning, particularly to endpapers and textblock edges. Binding slightly loose. A previous owner's name to several endpapers, front and rear. Dedication to reverse of front free endpaper. Slight thumb marking in places. Some illustrations coloured in. Boards have moderate shelf wear with mild bumping and fraying to corners and crushing and fraying to spine ends. All surfaces tanned and sunned, particularly spine. Gilt lettering to spine is dulled but remains brighter on front. Some additional mild marks and staining. This book has been inspected carefully by hand by trained book valuers to ensure the condition description is as accurate as possible for this exact copy pictured.
