Multiple artistic techniques were used to achieve the desired skin complexion for August. The vinyl was colored on the outside to give the most realistic skin tones. This natural shade of coloring was created by using various shades of heat set paints, which I've applied over multiple layers to achieve the depth of detail and true to life look I envisioned. I handled him delicately, and spent extra time and care creating, enhancing, and developing his realistic features.
