Description: This is a vintage Realistic Lab 1500, Fully Automatic, Belt Drive, linear-tracking Turntable in excellent functional and very good cosmetic condition. Features include automatic 2-speed selection (33 and 45 rpm), automatic record size selection (7 or 12 inch), play/stop button, cueing, repeat and auto-return. It has a Realistic/Audio-Technica cartridge, and the stylus is in excellent condition. This turntable was made in Japan and all functions work perfectly. A new drive belt was installed, and the speeds are accurate and stable. The arm drive mechanism is performing perfectly as well. The cartridge remains perfectly aligned with the record grooves, even on a record that was pressed slightly off-center. There are minor blemishes in the finish from age and use (see photos). The dust cover has light scratches and scuffs, but no deep scratches, dents or cracks. Unlike conventional turntables, linear turntables ensure that the tracking angle of the cartridge is perfectly aligned at all points along the record. They play the record at the same angle that the cutting head etched the original metal master disk. Get this great-sounding turntable at a great price while you can!
