Description: In 1993/94 I bought an all original Gibson SG special with a broken truss rod. It laid in a dormant state up until a couple of months ago. I decided to part it out, and sold the body/neck and the control section. The guitar was original finish, and orignal soldier joint electronics (see pictures). The pickups had the cloth tape removed and replaced with blue tape. I have listed these pickups over the last couple of months any everyone assumed the blue tape meant they had been rewound. Unless someone was able to rewind the pickups while they were still soldiered to the pots I don’t think this was the case. Even if that was possible no one would have gone through the trouble since SGs weren’t valuable at the time. I made a stupid mistake and removed the blue tape from the bridge pickup, and now it will need to be rewound. There is no removing the winding to find the fault. It needs professional help. The Bridge pickup is also missing a pole piece. The pickup had a strong resistance reading before my mistake. Please ask all questions in advance to purchasing.
