Description: This Military Order of the World War Medal is inscribed Comdr. Prentiss P. Bassett Commander New York Chapter 1924 - 1925. The medal commemorates the sacrifices made during World War I (1914-18) and is an important original piece of US militaria. It is attached to a ribbon and buckle with 2 leaf clusters. The ribbon is in nice condition with splits in some of the creases. The medal is in very nice condition and features intricate details and quality craftsmanship which speaks to its significance.
