RARE Vintage Old England Pontiac Sunbird Chrome Steering Wheel Wristwatch Swiss

Description: RARE Pontiac Sunbird version of the famous 1960s/1970s Old England Tropic Sport steering wheel wind-up wristwatch, Swiss made (marked on bezel and also on strap), in the shape of a chrome steering wheel with nice quality rubber slotted two-piece strap with buckle closure. Watch face has the sharp Pontiac Sunbird red / orange and yellow sun logo, and "Sunbird" below, with "Swiss Made" at the bottom and "Old England" to the bottom right in smaller print. Primary and second hands. I have personally owned this watch since I was given it in the early 1970s by my uncle during my childhood in Florida, and I remember it working extremely well until I put it away for many years as I got older. While it's not a child's watch, I wore it extra proudly as a kid and appreciate its vintage appeal today. Difficult to find the Sunbird version like this. It's very clean and presentable, with light wear to the crystal. Strap is almost like new. Marked "Waterproof" on strap. It's very nostalgic to let this go, but I'm now at an age where I'd like to see my things go to happy new owners to be enjoyed all over again by someone. Watch is currently not running; it appears to be overwound, which I understand is generally easily repairable. Aesthetically, it's in quite nice condition, with just minor wear to the crystal and case. Quite handsome and unique.
