Description: This is a beautiful and rare to find Vintage Deans Rag Book Company Doreen Girl Doll with a painted composition head which is impressed G DRB Co. Ltd., made c1950. She has blue transfer printed eyes, blonde mohair wig, swivel head, felt body jointed at the shoulders and hips, original lilac dress and underclothes, blue felt waistcoat, socks and shoes There’s a cream and brown printed label on the sole of her shoe, There’s a fabric flower in a clear bag. She comes in an original brown box printed with Dean’s dolls and animals and the end label is handwritten with ‘Doreen 721/1 BLUE 31/- S.S R’. This actual doll is illustrated in Neil Miller’s Dean’s of Yesterday book on page 91. She is in very good condition with just a little age-related wear from handling and storage, but nothing major to note. The box is showing signs of wear from storage. She measures approximately 42cm high. Please note: The doll stand is not included and was used to assist with the photos.
