Description: Vintage Flyer Description Vintage Two-Sided Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel District Flyer Leaflet measures approximately 4" x 9". One side features a Toll Schedule for fourteen classes of vehicles. The reverse side features an illustrated profile of the Bridge-Tunnel from Virginia Beach, VA. to Cape Charles, VA.; brief description of the "ENGINEERING WONDER OF THE WORLD"; amenities and regulations "FOR YOUR SAFETY AND PLEASURE"; and, "COMPRESSED GAS LIMITATIONS". The Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel opened in April, 1964, replacing the Little Creek-Kiptopeka Ferry. The Vintage Toll Schedule Flyer is marked "EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1965", and thus. was the first full-year Toll Schedule to be issued by the District. It is in Very Good Condition for its Considerable Age, with only very minor edge wear noted. Please see accompanying photographs.
