Description: This is a very hard to find late-1800s advertising Victorian trade card for the Trick Pony cast iron mechanical coin bank. The bank was made by Shepard Hardware Co. in the 1880s. This card was a giveaway from Vergho, Ruhling & Co., Chicago. They were a large toy firm. The card measures 3-3/8" x 5.25". Overall condition of the card is very nice. There's a little bit of a paper scratch on the back and just a very slight bend in the top left corner. These mechanical bank trade cards are some of the hardest trade cards to find.
