Description: Description of the coin A coin of this type was produced from 868 silver in 1859-1885. The front and back sides have a protruding edge around the circumference with teeth facing inward. On the obverse of the coin in the central part there is an image of the Small State Emblem of the Russian Empire, model 1856. On the coat of arms there is a double-headed eagle, crowned with two imperial crowns; above there is the same crown, but of a larger size, connected to the lower crowns with a fluttering ribbon of the Order of St. Andrew. The eagle holds a scepter with its right paw, and an orb with its left. The Moscow coat of arms is placed on the chest: St. George on a horse, striking a serpentine dragon with wings with a spear. The Moscow coat of arms is surrounded by the chain of the Order of St. Apostle Andrew the First-Called. On the raised wings of the eagle are the coats of arms of eight kingdoms (four on each wing). On the left are the coats of arms of the kingdoms: Kazan, Poland, Tauride Chersonese, as well as the combined coats of arms of the great principalities: Kyiv, Vladimir and Novgorod. On the right are the coats of arms of the kingdoms: Astrakhan, Siberian, Moscow and the Grand Duchy of Finland. The eagle's tail is made in a stylized manner. To the left and right of the tail are the initials of the mintzmeister - F and B. The coat of arms is surrounded by a ring of dots, behind which the weight of the coin is indicated in a circle: PURE SILVER 2 GOLD 10 1/2 LOVE. The beginning and end of the inscription are separated by a flower. On the reverse of the coin, the denomination POLTINA is indicated in the center, with the imperial crown on top. Below the denomination there is an ornament in the form of two stylized lines with a dot between them. Below is the year of minting 1859, even lower are the letters S.P.B., meaning St. Petersburg. Along the edges of the coin there is a wreath of two branches connected at the bottom with a ribbon.
