CusterOriginal dark green cloth covers with gilt titles and emblems on covers and spines. Some minor rubbing on a couple of spine ends. Shoulder strap stars on spines of 2 are a bit faded, all others are nice and bright. Gilt is otherwise bright. All the emblems on front covers are very nice. Only Sherman's books lack any cover emblem. Contents are tight in their respective bindings and are quite clean and crisp. Scattered foxing and minor finger soiling here and there. Small edge tears to ffep of 2 or 3. Few have previous owners' names penned in. One volume has a previous owners stamp. Illustrations, steel engravings, tissue guards and maps are present. Each book is covered with protective hard plastic covering custom fitted for each volume.
