Description: RARE SET: Vintage ZUNI Handmade Carved Antler Owl Fetish NECKLACE & EARRINGS A vintage Zuni set of exquisitely hand carved fetish necklace and earrings made in the form of owls. These owls are made of antler with black eyes of jet paste and the necklace center owl having three round inlays of turquoise on its breast. The necklace has 13 owl fetishes and the earrings each have one owl for a total of 15 owls in the set. Turquoise and pipe stone heishi beads are strung between the owls with the ends of the necklace and earring strands finished with shell heishi and small sterling silver cones. The necklace has a handmade hook and eye silver clasp and the earrings have ear wires for pieced ears. This piece has been tested for sterling silver metal fineness. Would make a wonderful addition to any collection of fine Zuni fetishes or owl lovers, especially as owls are rare animal forms in the Native southwest. Please see extensive photos.
